LODHRAN, May 30 (APP):The Livestock Department has established five anti-congo check-posts across the district in order to ensure free of ticks sacrificial animals to citizens on Eidul-Azha.
Additional Director Livestock Allah Bachaya told APP here on Friday that like every year, the anti-congo check-posts have been established under the directions of Punjab government. He said that the check-posts were working round the clock. Similarly, the departmental staff was also deployed at three temporary sale points, set up by the district administration for sale and purchase of sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.
Allah Bachaya said that a total of 48 staffers were also deployed at three livestock mobile dispensaries. He said that the purpose of all these measures was to ensure provision of sacrificial animals to citizens free from ticks, healthy and without any diseases.
The official further stated that necessary medicines and equipment were provided to the livestock staff and added that the check-posts would remain functional till Eid-ul-Azha.
