LAHORE, Nov 07 (APP):The Lahore High Court (LHC) has implemented a modern and digital record management system under the directives of Chief Justice Ms. Aalia Neelum, aimed at ensuring secure, transparent and efficient access to judicial records.
To strengthen administrative oversight and improve archival standards, two Additional Registrars have been designated to supervise the restructuring and functioning of record rooms. The reforms include the introduction of a Digital File Tracking System, Computerized Movement Index, and a Copy Petition Tracking System, significantly minimizing record delays and loss, says an LHC press release issued here on Friday.
Digitization of inactive and old case files is also underway to create a secure and permanent digital archive. Improvements have further been made in file classification, labeling, and preservation conditions. Performance in the Copy Branch and Dispatch Section has also been enhanced for timely issuance of certified copies.
Periodic audits will be conducted to maintain transparency and efficiency. The initiative reflects the Lahore High Court’s commitment to ensuring that justice is delivered clearly, efficiently and accessibly.
