LAHORE, Dec 15 (APP):The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday granted time to the Punjab government to submit its response regarding the permission for kite flying.
Justice Malik Muhammad Awais Khalid heard a petition filed by the Judicial Activism Panel challenging the Kite Flying Ordinance 2025.
The petitioner’s counsel contended that the Punjab government promulgated the ordinance without obtaining approval from the Punjab Assembly. It was further argued that kite flying could endanger citizens’ lives.
The court directed the Punjab government, the Inspector General of Punjab, and other respondents to submit their replies by December 22.
