LAHORE, Dec 24 (APP): Amiruddin Medical College Principal Professor Farooq Afzal on Wednesday directed the administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) to ensure uninterrupted medical facilities in all departments, including the Emergency Ward, during the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas holidays.
While issuing instructions to the Medical Superintendent, AMS (Admin), AMS (Security) and the Nursing Superintendent, Prof. Farooq Afzal emphasized strict monitoring of the attendance and performance of subordinate staff to avoid any disruption in healthcare services. He categorically stated that no employee, including Duty Medical Officers (DMOs), would be allowed to leave their duty posts without formally handing over charge to the incoming shift.
The Principal underscored that the timely treatment and convenience of patients remain the foremost mission of the hospital. He warned that any negligence, lapse in duty or compromise on patient care during the holidays would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
