PESHAWAR, Oct 24 (APP):The by-elections for two general seats in Neighborhood Council-2 Pir Abdullah Shah and Village Council-3 Bahadur Kot of Kohat district, which were earlier scheduled to be held on October 28 have been postponed.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the elections were delayed due to the ongoing matriculation examinations being conducted under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat.
The ECP has now announced that the by-elections will take place on November 2.
Furthermore, the Commission has issued a notification regarding the appointment of District Election Commissioner Kohat, Hameed Nawaz, as the new District Returning Officer (DRO) for these elections.
He replaces Asghar Khan, the District Returning Officer Hangu, who previously held the additional charge of District Election Commissioner Kohat.
