LAHORE, Jul 23 (APP):Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has recovered more than Rs 4.32 million from 130 defaulters in all the five districts- Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara- on the 269th day of its recovery campaign.
The LESCO spokesman told media here Tuesday that on the 269th day, SE (Superintending Engineer) Nisar Sarwar has recovered outstanding dues of Rs 0.32 million from 15 defaulters in Northern Circle; SE Umar Bilal recovered Rs 0.39 million from 21 defaulters in Eastern Circle; SE (Central Circle) Shabbir recovered Rs 0.39 million from 21 defaulters; SE (South Circle) Zafarullah Sanghi collected Rs 0.31 million from 11 defaulters; SE (Nankana Circle) Muhammad Hussain recovered Rs 0.71 million from 13 defaulters; SE (Sheikhupura Circle) Najamul Hassan recovered Rs 0.46 million from 22 defaulters; SE (Okara Circle) Jamshaid Zaman collected Rs 0.64 million from 16 defaulters and SE (Kasur Circle) Ahmad Shahzad Chughtai recovered Rs 0.51 million from 14 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
During the 268 days of anti-power theft campaign under the supervision of Director (Customer Services) Rai Muhammad Asghar, the spokesman added, the company recovered more than Rs 3.33 billion outstanding dues from 108,163 defaulters. He elaborated that up till now the company has collected Rs 481.28 million from 15,637 defaulters in Northern Circle; Rs 737.13 million from 14,291 defaulters in Eastern Circle; Rs 484.32 million from 12,473 defaulters in Central Circle; Rs 179.43 million from 6,538 defaulters in South Circle; Rs 274.46 million from 9,548 defaulters in Nankana Circle; Rs 476.46 million from 12,633 defaulters in Sheikhupura Circle; Rs 216.30 million from 16,930 defaulters in Okara Circle and Rs 484.15 million from 20,113 defaulters in Kasur Circle.
