LESCO chief holds E-kutchehri to resolve complaints

LAHORE, Jul 24 (APP):Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Chief Executive Officer Engineer Shahid Haider conducted an E-Kutchehri (public hearing) for prompt redress of consumers’ electricity supply related complaints, here at LESCO Headquarters on Wednesday.
He heard ‘ complaint through a facebook live session and issued on-the-spot orders accordingly. LESCO Chief Engineer (Operations) Abbas Ali, Manager (Complaint Cell) Rana Rizwan Sibghatullah were also present, while SEs (Superintending Engineers) of all the eight circles of LESCO participated through facebook link. A large number of LESCO customers from all the circles also actively participate in the hearing for timely resolution of their problems.
The LESCO chief instructed all the circle heads to immediately replace the wires which have become safety hazard and ensure that the bills are issued to the consumers as per their readings and complete redress of their grievances.
He also appealed to the consumers to pay their bills on time to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity. It is to mention that every month the LESCO chief along with top management holds E-kutchehri to address the complaints received through the facebook page Meanwhile, CEO Engineer Shahid Haider along with Director (Customer Services) Sarwar Mughal and Chief Engineer (Operations) Abbas Ali visited North and Sheikhupura Circles to review the measures being taken regarding public/customers’ hearing.
On this occasion, the SE (North Circle) Nisar Sarwar and SE (Sheikhupura Circle) Najamul Hasan briefed the CEO about the activities going on in their respective circles. The Executive Engineers (XENs), Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), Revenue Officers (ROs), DCM and DDT of both the circles were also present.
Engineer Shahid Haider directed to reduce the line losses and speed up the recovery from defaulters. He also reviewed the arrangements made for monsoon and said that the best facilities should be provided to the customers. He warned that any officer or employee found involved in electricity theft or corruption will not be spared under any circumstances and strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.
