LAHORE, Oct 20 (APP):Director General Lahore Development Authority on Monday directed the officers to re-launch special anti-encroachment campaign across all LDA housing schemes to eliminate illegal structures and ensure protection of LDA-owned properties.
Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Tahir Farooq chaired an important meeting of the LDA Housing Wing held at LDA headquarters.
The meeting was attended by Additional DG (Housing), Additional DG (Urban Planning), Chief Metropolitan Planner, Directors of Housing, Director Enforcement, and the Chief IT Officer.
“Protection of LDA’s proprietary land must be ensured at all costs,” said DG Tahir Farooq, instructing officials to remove encroachments and makeshift huts from authority-owned sites.
He emphasized that LDA Housing and Enforcement teams should remain active in the field, ensuring visible progress against temporary and permanent encroachments in both commercial and residential areas.
The meeting also reviewed proposed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at improving the performance and efficiency of the Housing Wing. DG LDA directed officials to revise and enhance SOPs for better citizen facilitation and smoother internal working.
