LAHORE, Dec 09 (APP):The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) conducted a large-scale operation against illegal commercial buildings across LDA-controlled areas on Monday and sealed another 95 properties.
On the directives of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, the Town Planning Wing took action on Ferozepur Road, Timber Market–Nain Sukh Shaheed Road, Gulberg, New Garden Town, Sabzazar, and Government Superior Services Scheme.
According to officials, 42 properties on Ferozepur Road and 16 properties from Timber Market to Nain Sukh Shaheed Road were sealed for illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees.
In Gulberg and New Garden Town, 22 properties were sealed for unauthorized commercial activity.
Under the recovery operation, teams sealed 15 more properties in Sabzazar and Government Superior Services Scheme.
The sealed properties include private banks, marquees, plazas, electronics and hardware stores, furniture shops, tyre shops, private schools, food points, pharmacies, clinics, showrooms, grocery stores, workshops, retail shops, offices and others.
The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I Asad Uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
