LAHORE, Dec 23 (APP):The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday sealed another 121 properties,intensifying its on going operation against illegal commercial buildings in LDA-controlled areas.
On the directions of Director General(DG) LDA Tahir Farooq, the Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing has been fully mobilized and launched a large-scale operation.
The operation was conducted in Raiwind Road,Township,New Muslim Town,Johar Town,Gulberg,New Garden Town,Gujjarpura, Government Superior Services Scheme and Sabzazar.
Due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees,34 properties on Raiwind Road,15 in Township and 7 in New Muslim Town were sealed.
Similarly,for illegal commercial activities, 21 properties in Johar Town, 19 in Gulberg and New Garden Town and 14 in Gujjarpura were sealed.
During recovery operations,LDA teams also sealed 11 properties in Allama Government Superior Services Scheme and Sabzazar.
The sealed properties include banks,schools,clinics,bakeries,pharmacies,juice corners,hardware stores,auto workshops,marble shops,showrooms,restaurants,beauty salons,food points,grocery stores,shops,offices and other commercial establishments.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
