MUZAFFARGARH, Oct 21 (APP): The cervical cancer vaccination campaign in Layyah has concluded successfully, with the District Health Department reporting that it achieved approximately 88% of its set target.
According to an official statement issued on Tuesday, a total of 131,000 schoolgirls
were vaccinated during the campaign, placing Layyah among the top-performing
districts in Punjab.
A total of 115 mobile health teams—comprising trained professionals, assistants, and mobilizers—
were deployed across the district. Their performance was widely praised by authorities
for their role in the campaign’s effective rollout.
Layyah was assigned a target of vaccinating 146,000 schoolgirls, aiming for a 90% coverage rate.
