LAHORE, Nov 02 (APP):Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan on Sunday visited Kot Radha Kishan to offer condolences to the family of Mueez Hussain, a prominent local trader leader who was brutally murdered earlier this week.
A large number of local traders, political and social figures, and police officials were present during the visit. The Law Minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic incident, terming it “highly condemnable and heartbreaking.” He assured the bereaved family that the Punjab government stands with them in this difficult time and vowed that the perpetrators would be brought to justice without delay.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said a transparent and swift investigation would be ensured and those responsible would face the full force of the law. Police officials briefed the Minister that an FIR has been registered at the Kot Radha Kishan Police Station, while raids are being carried out to arrest the suspects. Investigating teams are working on all possible leads, and significant progress is expected soon.
The victim’s family requested a fair and transparent investigation and early arrest of the accused, expressing confidence that the Punjab government would ensure justice.
Representatives of the local business community also met the Minister and urged the government to strengthen law and order, enhance police patrolling, and expand CCTV monitoring systems in markets and commercial areas.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said that the protection of the business community and their properties is among the government’s top priorities. He said all available resources will be utilized to ensure citizens’ safety and warned that no act of crime or terrorism will be tolerated.
The Law Minister directed the police to expedite the investigation and ensure justice without any negligence or delay. He reiterated that the Punjab government is fully committed to upholding the rule of law, protecting lives and property, and ensuring that no influential person is considered above the law.
