LAHORE, Jul 17 (APP):On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, the district administration had completed the arrangement for food (Langar) and sweet water camps for the people on the main processions routes of Lahore on Ashura Day.
The spokesperson for the district administration said on Wednesday that all arrangements had been completed on the main procession routes from Nisar Haveli, Niaz Baig and Model Town.
Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider said that Health, WASA, LWMC camps were active on the routes of the main processions. She said Langar and Sabil camps were also fully functional.
The DC said the staff of Health and Rescue 1122 was on alert to deal with any emergency. With the help of more than 850 CCTV cameras, the main procession was being fully monitored from the DC office control room, she added.
Rafia Haider said full-proof security had also been provided for the central processions.
