LAHORE, Feb 04 (APP): The city recorded an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 160, placing air conditions in the unhealthy category.
At the same time, the concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) was measured at 13.8 times higher than the World Health Organization’s annual guideline value, indicating a serious level of air pollution. Such conditions pose significant health risks, particularly for children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular diseases, and highlight the growing need for effective air quality management and pollution control measures.
