Lahore Marathon held with participation of athletes in three categories
LAHORE, Sep 27 (APP):The Lahore Marathon was held here on Sunday in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of Pakistan and Allied Bank,with athletes participating in different categories.
According to details,Muhammad Zain of Kasur won the men’s 10-kilometer race,while Muhammad Zohaib of Faisalabad secured second position and Saim Masih,also from Faisalabad,finished third.
In the women’s 10-kilometer race,Farhat Batool(38) emerged victorious,completing the distance in 42 minutes and 50 seconds.
In the men’s 21-kilometer half-marathon,Akhtar Ali of Sahiwal, representing the Pakistan Army,secured first position,while Sohail Aamir finished second.
Gunesh Batool won the women’s 21-kilometer half-marathon,completing the race in one hour,40 minutes and nine seconds.Mahnoor secured second position.
In the 42-kilometer marathon,Israr Muhammad of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claimed first position,while Muhammad Ramzan finished second.
