PESHAWAR, Mar 03 (APP):Provincial Minister for Labour, Faisal Khan Tarakai Tuesday chaired 87th meeting of Governing Body (GB) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Employees Social Security Institution (ESSI) reiterating the commitment to revolutionizing healthcare and administrative transparency for province’s workforce.
The meeting formally confirmed the minutes of 86th Governing Body meeting setting a foundation for the new strategic directives aimed at expanding the institution’s operational reach.
The meeting approved the opening of dedicated medical stores within the premises of existing Medicare centers and Polyclinic in Peshawar to ensure provision of essential medicines to labours and expansion of the healthcare network.
Participants approved establishment of a new medicare center in District Swabi to provide localized medical support to the region’s industrial hub.
To ensure the highest standards of fiscal responsibility, the meeting also moved to amend the audit process of ESSI accounts proposing that all future financial evaluations be conducted through the Auditor General of Pakistan.
Labour minister reiterated that the provincial government remains dedicated to providing high quality care facilities and a transparent, accountable framework that prioritizes the dignity and wellbeing of the labor community.
