Laborer electrocuted,another injured during construction work
GUJRAT, Jun 17 (APP):A laborer was killed and another injured after they came into contact with high-voltage power lines while working on an under-construction building in Dault Nagar area of Gujrat on Wednesday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials,the incident occurred near Allied School when two workers accidentally touched overhead electricity wires during construction work.
As a result,Abdul Ghafoor(38),r/o Kashmore died on the spot while Hazrat Khan(18) v/o Karianwala sustained minor injuries.
Rescue personnel reached the site and provided first aid to the injured worker before shifting him to the Rural Health Center (RHC) Dault Nagar for further treatment.
After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family.
Rescue officials said the family later transported the body to his native town in Kashmore for burial.
Further investigation was underway.
