PESHAWAR, Sep 09 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police authorities have stepped up welfare measures for injured and disabled personnel and their families, providing financial assistance and mobility support to those in need.
In Bannu, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Bannu Region Abdul Ghafoor Afridi visited an injured police official, inquired about his health and reviewed his treatment.
He provided the injured official with financial assistance and assured him of continued support and full departmental patronage during his recovery.
Abdul Ghafoor Afridi said the welfare of police personnel remained a top priority and the department would provide every possible assistance to injured officials, particularly for their treatment and rehabilitation.
In Kohat, District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal distributed wheelchairs among disabled police personnel and their disabled family members under the police welfare programme.
He met the beneficiaries, inquired about their wellbeing and listened to their concerns. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rana Tahir also attended the ceremony.
The DPO said police personnel and their families were a valuable asset of the department and authorities would take all possible measures to safeguard their welfare.
He said police officials performed their duties round the clock to protect citizens’ lives and property and maintain law and order, making it the department’s responsibility to address their needs and those of their families.
He assured that the department would continue introducing welfare initiatives and providing facilities to deserving and disabled personnel and their families.
The beneficiaries thanked the Kohat police chief for providing the wheelchairs and giving special attention to their needs, describing the initiative as a commendable step towards strengthening police welfare.
