KP Minister for accelerating work on developmental schemes in settled, merged districts

PESHAWAR, Nov 24 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan on Monday directed the concerned authorities to accelerate work on ongoing developmental schemes in the settled and merged tribal districts and ensure their timely completion.
He said that ensuring the provision of clean drinking water to the people of the province and improving the drainage system are among the top priorities of the current KP government.
He added that the incumbent KP government is committed to resolve the basic issues of the citizens and to deliver better public services through all possible measures.
The provincial minister issued these directives while presiding over a high-level meeting held here regarding the mega projects of the Public Health Engineering Department. Secretary Public Health Engineering, Dawood Khan, Chief Engineers, Project Directors, and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
The provincial minister was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing and new schemes related to water supply, rehabilitation, and solarization in the settled and merged tribal districts.  He was also informed about the progress made so far on these development works.
The briefing was given on major projects including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment & Institutional Support Project (KP RIISP), the gravity-based water supply scheme and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure from Tehsil Matta to Koza Bandai and Tehsil Khwazakhela to Charbagh in District Swat, and the gravity flow water supply scheme in District Mansehra assisted by SFD, along with other ongoing development and solarization initiatives.
Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan issued clear directives to the concerned authorities to ensure quality work on all public service-related projects.  He reiterated that the provincial government is committed to taking concrete steps to ensure improved access to clean drinking water in every part of the province.
