PESHAWAR, Oct 23 (APP):Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shohab Ali Shah, has announced that a comprehensive action plan was being implemented across the province on the directives of the Chief Minister. The plan is aimed at promoting good governance, transparency and public service, he said in a statement on Thursday.
The chief secretary said that district administrations have been directed to prioritize public welfare and the resolution of citizens’ issues in line with the Chief Minister’s vision.
The key points of the plan include a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, with strict measures being taken to eliminate it and ensure transparent governance. All Deputy Commissioners have been directed to give top priority to resolving public issues and improving service delivery.
A province-wide “Clean and Green Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” campaign is also underway to improve cleanliness and greenery. Firm actions are being taken to remove illegal encroachments and restore public spaces.
For essential commodities, all Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to ensure effective monitoring of market prices and take strict action against profiteering. The plan also ensures transparency, accountability, and performance monitoring across all government departments.
Merit-based appointments will be made to ensure competent and qualified officials are placed in the right positions. Furthermore, in line with the “Digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” vision, more than 400 government services are being digitalized to make procedures easier and more transparent for citizens and the business community.
