KP Healthcare Commission inspects 7,544 medical centers, 1650 sealed in three months

PESHAWAR, Jan 15 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission during the last three months operation has inspected 7544 medical centres wherein 1650 were sealed while 3523 were issued notices over various violations.
According to Spokesman of Healthcare Commission, Azam Rehman, 785 medical centers were registered in just three months, after which the total number of registered medical centers in the province reached to 21,442.
Similarly, 133 medical centers were inspected, as a result of which 41 were issued full licenses and 184 were issued interim licenses, in total, 509 centers have been inspected since the start of licensing in the year 2022 of which 173 were issued full licenses.
Sharing a three months progress report, Azam Rehman said eleven training sessions were also organized on “Quality of Health Services” from which 362 staff of medical centers belonging to different districts of the province were trained.
Similarly, the commission received 298 new complaints in three months, out of which 302 were disposed off.
Commenting on the report, Director Registration Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission, Dr. Shifa Haider Sawal said that the aim of expediting registration and licensing process is to provide the best health services to the people of the province.
