According to official sources, AI will be introduced as a regular subject for students from grades 6 to 12, with phased implementation starting from March 2026.
An age-appropriate, AI-focused modern curriculum will be developed to equip students with advanced technological skills.
The provincial government has also planned the recruitment of 7,555 IT teachers to ensure effective implementation of the initiative. In addition, IT laboratories and digital infrastructure will be expanded across the province to support modern learning requirements.
The initiative aims to align the provincial education system with emerging global technological trends and empower students with future-ready skills, officials added.
