KP govt fully committed to promoting cooperation with China: Shafi Jan

PESHAWAR, Dec 22 (APP): Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information, Shafi Jan, said that the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, is fully committed to promoting cooperation with China at all levels.
Whether it is infrastructure, education, technology, or industrial development, the government is striving to utilize China’s experience and resources for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He expressed these views during his visit to China Window, the Chinese cultural center established in Peshawar, while addressing a ceremony held for the distribution of certificates among students who completed a digital media course.
Shafi Jan stated that examples of Pak-China friendship are cited across the world and the main reason behind this strong bond is that both countries have always stood by each other in difficult times.
China has consistently taken positive steps to improve Pakistan’s economic and financial conditions, he observed.
Special Assistant emphasized the need to accelerate work on CPEC projects so that economic activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can be further promoted.
He added that the provincial government’s development policies and good governance initiatives, particularly under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, are ensuring better public facilities, employment opportunities, and the provision of modern education.
He expressed confidence that only through education and skill development of the youth can Khyber Pakhtunkhwa be placed on the path of sustainable progress.
Appreciating the performance of China Window, Shafi Jan said that the institution has rendered valuable services in promoting Pak-China friendship and strengthening cultural ties.
He noted that the center is not only introducing China’s culture, history, and modern development but is also playing a highly significant role in fostering Pak-China relations.
Congratulating the students who completed digital media course, he said that in the present era the importance of digital media has increased manifold.
This achievement reflects the hard work and skills of the youth and is also a matter of pride for the government to provide young people with opportunities to advance in the fields of modern technology, media, and information. He added that digital media skills can help the youth build their identity not only at the national but also at the international level.
Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information, Shafi Jan, distributed certificates among students on behalf of the National Commission for Vocational and Technical Training (NAVTTC).
