PESHAWAR, Oct 31 (APP): A landmark meeting of the Joint Management Board (JMB), comprising Green Tourism (Pvt) Limited and the Tourism and Culture Department, was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Tourism KP, Dr. Abdul Samad Khan.
The session reviewed major initiatives aimed at redefining the future of tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reflecting the dynamic vision of Chief Secretary KP to transform the province into a global tourism destination where culture meets
nature, and progress aligns with preservation.
The meeting emphasized sustainable development, responsible tourism, and community empowerment as key pillars
of KP’s tourism strategy. The JMB approved inclusion of a 45 km road project proposed for Saudi investment and
agreed to strengthen financial partnerships for flagship ventures including Hund Theme Park in Swabi and tourism
zones across the province.
Collaboration was also finalized for Ganool Integrated Tourism Zone (Mansehra) to attract global partners in sustainable tourism. In a major eco-friendly initiative, the Forest Department will allocate land for camping sites on a revenue-sharing model with Green Tourism, combining comfort with conservation. Green Tourism will soon submit its financial plans for JMB approval.
