PESHAWAR, Dec 29 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally approved the recruitment of 2,800 watchmen for government schools across 28 districts of the province. This step has been taken to improve security and discipline in educational institutions.
According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department on Monday, the recruitment process to fill vacant positions in schools will be carried out with complete transparency. All appointments will be made through advertisements, competitive procedures, and strictly on merit, so that eligible and capable candidates can be given opportunities.
According to the figures, the highest number of positions 377 watchmen has been allocated to Mansehra district, while Bannu allotted 263, Mardan 256, Peshawar 162, Lakki Marwat 160, and Abbottabad 154 positions. Other districts have also been allocated positions in proportion to their population and the number of educational institutions.
Officials from the Education Department stated that the recruitment process will be completed soon, and the newly appointed watchmen will assume their duties in schools, which will help promote security and discipline in the educational environment.
