DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 31 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Wednesday visited the residence of Shaheed Major Adeel Zaman in Garhi Sadozai here to offer Fateha and condolences to the bereaved family.
Major Adeel Zaman embraced martyrdom during an operation against Fitna-al-Khawarij in Bajaur.
The governor attended a collective Quran Khwani held for the Isal-e-Sawab of the martyr and expressed sympathy with Major Adeel’s father, former DSP Sher Zaman Khan, his brothers Gohar Zaman and Umair Zaman, nephew Arsalan Sadozai, and other family members.
He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience and strength for the grieving family.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that Shaheed Major Adeel Zaman laid down his life while performing the noble duty of protecting the state, upholding the sanctity of the ‘Kalma’, the national flag, and safeguarding the lives and property of the people.
He said that the nation was proud of its martyrs and that Major Adeel and other martyrs were national heroes whose sacrifices would never be forgotten, nor would their blood be allowed to go in vain.
Later, the governor also paid his visit to the grave of Shaheed Major Adeel and offered Fateha.
