PESHAWAR, Mar 01 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his companions in an attack on Iran.
In a video message issued from the Governor’s House, the Governor termed the incident extremely tragic, saying that the entire Muslim Ummah was saddened and distressed over the development.
He said Pakistan had adopted a clear stance regarding the attack on Iran and reiterated that any aggression undermining regional peace and stability was condemnable.
The Governor appealed to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to register their protest in a peaceful manner, urging them to avoid any action that could create unrest or law and order issues.
“Pakistan is currently passing through a sensitive situation. We must not take any step that could cause chaos and provide an opportunity to anti-state elements to exploit the circumstances,” he added.
Governor Kundi emphasized the need for unity, restraint and vigilance in the prevailing circumstances, calling upon citizens to demonstrate responsibility and solidarity during this critical time.
