ISLAMABAD, Nov 24 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday said that the expansion of passport services in the province will significantly reduce the difficulties faced by citizens.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Director General Passport Mustafa Jamal Qazi in Islamabad.
During the meeting, it was decided to soon inaugurate new passport counters in Paharpur, Panyala and Dargai.
Governor Kundi said the initiative will not only provide services closer to people’s homes but will also reduce the cost and hardship of long-distance travel, especially for residents of remote areas.
He added that the new facilities will greatly benefit Umrah pilgrims, other travellers, and individuals going abroad for employment.
The Director General Passport briefed the Governor in detail on the establishment and administrative arrangements of the proposed counters. It was also agreed that Governor Kundi will personally inaugurate the new passport counters once they are ready.
