KP Excise Dept seizes 35kg drugs in five major raids; six suspects held

PESHAWAR, Nov 26 (APP): Under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics, the Excise Department has intensified its province-wide crackdown and carried out five major operations in a single day.
The Excise Intelligence Bureau, supervised by Provincial In-Charge Saud Khan Gandapur, recovered large quantities of narcotics and arrested six suspects during the raids.
In the first operation, officials seized 6,000 grams of heroin and 3,000 grams of ice.
The second operation led to the recovery of 19,200 grams of charas and 500 grams of ice, while 4,800 grams of charas were confiscated in the third action.
During the fourth raid, officers recovered 500 grams of ice while in the fifth operation, two suspects involved in supplying ice to students of an educational institution in the Hazara region were arrested, and 1,000 grams of ice were seized from them.
Overall, the department recovered 5,000 grams of ice, 6,000 grams of heroin and 24,000 grams of charas, and registered cases against all six arrested suspects.
