KP Culture, Tourism Authority organizes Vintage Classic Car Show 2025

PESHAWAR, Nov 15 (APP): Provincial Advisor for Finance, Muzammil Aslam has said that events like Vintage and Classic Car Show should be organized across the country as they promote peace, culture, and tourism. He noted that Peshawar is a peaceful city and has successfully hosted this event for the past 16 years. “The city is well-known for its food and rich cultural heritage,” he added.
He expressed these views while addressing the 16th Vintage and Classic Car Show organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) in collaboration with Classic Land Rover here Saturday.
Director Admin and Finance KPCTA Umer Arshad Khan, Director Tourism Muhammad Ali Syed, Classic Land Rover representative Asim Durrani, and other distinguished personalities were also present.
Muzammil Aslam further stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s scenic landscapes and mountain ranges are blessed with natural beauty, while the northern areas host the world’s most significant remnants of the Gandhara civilization.
“I invite people from all over the country to visit Peshawar and experience its culture,” he said. The Advisor also distributed honorary shields among the participants of the car rally.
The event drew classic car enthusiasts from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and other cities.
More than 70 vehicles—from models manufactured between 1934 and 1980—participated in the rally. The showcased vehicles included Mercedes, Jaguar, Ford, Chevrolet, Mini, VW, Land Rover, Mustang, Austin, Porsche, and vintage Vespa motorcycles.
Traditional rabab music and Khattak dance performances were also featured, entertaining families and visitors attending the show. Women participants and families also took part in the rally.
The vintage cars travelled from Karachi to Peshawar via Thar Desert, Moro, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, and Swabi before reaching their final destination.
KPCTA Director of Tourism, Umer Arshad Khan, said the aim of organizing the rally and show in Peshawar was to promote a message of peace from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“We want to revive Peshawar as the city of flowers and happiness, just as it once was,” he added.
Families attending the event enjoyed the performances and appreciated the efforts of KPCTA in organizing the car show and cultural activities.
