PESHAWAR, Oct 28 (APP):Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has welcomed the lawyers of the Justice Lawyers Forum on their joining the Insaf Lawyers Forum and congratulated them on this occasion.
A formal ceremony in this regard was held yesterday at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar, where 94 lawyers from the Justice Lawyers Forum (JLF) officially announced their inclusion in the Insaf Lawyers Forum.
Addressing the joining ceremony, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi welcomed the newly joined lawyers and said that our struggle is for supremacy of law, in which the lawyers’ community has a central role.
Sohail Afridi added that the current provincial government is determined to ensure progress in all sectors of society.
Grants amounting to 420 million rupees have been approved for the province’s bar associations, which will be released within a few days.
The chief minister said the Constitution and law are equal for everyone. We will bring even the powerful and the unjust before the court of justice.”
He made it clear that their struggle is for the independence of the judiciary, the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law, and the freedom of the media.
