PESHAWAR, Oct 21 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Tuesday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to continue all-out efforts until the complete elimination of dengue from the province.

Presiding over a meeting regarding dengue prevention and control, the Chief Minister emphasized that a coordinated and effective awareness campaign is essential to combat dengue. He directed that members of the provincial assembly and local government representatives should be engaged in the awareness efforts to ensure public awareness and community participation at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister further instructed that in high-risk districts, the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against dengue should be implemented effectively, and a door-to-door awareness campaign should be launched to help prevent the spread of the dengue  in the upcoming season.
He also directed the Information Department to ensure a vigorous awareness campaign but made it clear that no political figure’s picture will be used in any official advertisement.
Highlighting the provincial government’s priorities, Sohail Afridi said that health and education remain the top priorities of the government.

It was informed that at present, 311 dengue cases are active across the province.
