KP CM directs action against hoarding of wheat, sugar

PESHAWAR, Oct 22 (APP): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi here on Wednesday directed the Food Department to take effective measures to prevent hoarding.

The chief minister said this during a detailed briefing on the available stocks and prices of wheat and sugar in the province.

He instructed to write a letter to the Punjab government for the free movement of flour and wheat. The purpose of the letter is to ensure the free movement of flour and wheat between the two provinces, said Sohail Afridi.

The chief minister directed to ensure the provision of essential food items to the public at official rates. He ordered the immediate registration of all warehouses across the province.
