PESHAWAR, Feb 06 (APP): Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the suicide blast at Imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai area, terming the attack a cowardly and inhumane act.
In his condemnation statement, the chief minister said that an attack on a place of worship is a heinous crime against humanity and represents the worst form of hostility towards mankind.
He emphasized that targeting worshippers through a suicide attack reflects extreme brutality and intolerance, which has no place in any religion or society.
Sohail Afridi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
He stated that the provincial government stands shoulder to shoulder with the victims’ families in this hour of grief.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the CM said that such cowardly acts cannot weaken the nation’s determination to defeat terrorism.
He stressed that those responsible for the attack would be brought to justice and that collective efforts are required to eliminate the menace of terrorism and extremism from the country.
He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and for eternal peace for the departed souls.
