PESHAWAR, May 31 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has approved solarization of University of Peshawar (UoP), a move expected to save institution approximately Rs550 million each year.
According to an official statement issued on Saturday, the approval has been made during a recent cabinet meeting. The decision addresses a long-standing request from both students and faculty, who have advocated for a reliable and sustainable energy solution for the campus.
The solarization project is set to provide uninterrupted power across the university premises, significantly improving academic environment.
Students welcomed the announcement, describing it as a step towards progress and self-sufficiency. They expressed optimism that the new system would allow them to focus on their studies with greater ease and patience once project is complete.
