PESHAWAR, Nov 04 (APP): In a step for the development of adventure sports, the Kohat Region Alpine Association has been officially established under the supervision of the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The formation and election proceedings were organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Alpine Association.
The entire ten-member cabinet of the new body was elected unopposed in a process supervised by Regional Sports Officer Kohat, Ismail Wazir. Zeeshan Faheem Qureshi, Administrator of the Kohat Sports Complex, and Superintendent Zaheeruddin acted as the monitoring staff for the election.
The newly elected office-bearers are: Tehsil Mayor Tehatt Nasrati Sajjad Ahmad as President, Mir Nawab as Senior Vice President, and Ahmad Khattak as General Secretary.
Other members include Asif Pracha as Vice President, Dr. Musarrat and Asma Bashir Bangash as Lady Vice Presidents, Shakir Manan as Finance Secretary, Hashim Zaman as Information Secretary, Ra’idullah as Press Secretary, and Amir Sohail as Joint Secretary.
Following their election, the cabinet members collectively pledged to actively work towards the promotion and development of climbing, mountaineering, hiking, and other adventure sports across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.
The association aims to foster a culture of mountain sports and provide a platform for enthusiasts in Kohat and surrounding areas.
