Kohat Police arrest four suspects in drug, arms and assault cases
KOHAT, Sep 28 (APP):Kohat Police arrested four suspects in separate operations against narcotics, illegal weapons and attacks on government officials, recovering 1,250 grams of hashish and two pistols, police said on Monday.
Acting on the special directives of DPO Kohat SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal, a team of Cantt Police Station led by SHO Wajid Ali arrested a suspect identified as Sher Khan during a raid. Police said 1,250 grams of hashish were recovered from his possession and alleged that he was involved in supplying narcotics through online channels.
In separate actions, police arrested two more suspects, identified as Hammad and Hasnain, and recovered a pistol from each of them. Meanwhile, police also arrested Rehman Khan, a resident of Miri, for allegedly assaulting WAPDA officials while they were performing their duties and vandalizing property inside the WAPDA office.
DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal, while exclusively talking to APP, said strict legal action would be taken against anyone obstructing government officials in the discharge of their duties, mistreating public servants or damaging state property. Further investigations into the cases are underway.
