KOHAT, Aug 13 (APP):Kohat police on Tuesday conducted a major search operation in suburban areas, resulting in the arrest of 40 suspects including wanted criminals.
According to Police, the operation which targeted specific locations also yielded a cache of weapons and drugs.
Police recovered one Kalashnikov, two repeaters, two pistols, six chargers, dozens of cartridges and seven kilograms of hashish.
In addition, authorities took legal action against four unregistered tenants during the operation.
The search operation led by SHO Mills Area Ayaz Afridi involved police, elite force troops and women police personnel.
All those arrested were taken to the Mills area police station for investigation and charges related to illegal weapons and drugs were filed.
