Killing of couple condemned

MULTAN, Jul 21 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senior Vice President South Punjab Khawaja Rizwan Alam strongly condemned the murder of a couple in Balochistan.
In a statement issued on Monday, he said religion and law both give women the right to make decisions about their own lives. No one has the authority to take that away.
He called upon the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly.
“I hope the killers were punished without delay. Justice must be served to set a precedent against such inhumane acts,” he added.
“We must collectively work towards a society where personal decisions were respected
and freedom was protected,” he said.
The PPP leader urged lawmakers, civil society, and the media to play their role in ending such crimes.
