SARGODHA, Sep 28 (APP):A proclaimed offender involved in the murder of a police constable was killed during an encounter with the police on Monday morning.
According to a spokesman, the suspect, identified as Kashif of Kot Momin, was wanted in multiple cases including murder, attempted murder, and robbery.
A few days ago, Kashif opened fire on a raiding police team, killing Constable Fazal Ahmed before escaping.
Police traced the fugitive and conducted a raid early Monday. The suspect opened fire on the police party and was killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.
The body was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal procedures.
