MUZAFFARGARH, Oct 22 (APP):A joint team of police and Counter Crime Department resolved a reported kidnapping incident which later turned out to be a murder case after suspects arrested by police confessed to having killed the kidnapee over an old enmity.
Police said that a person Shahid Khan Sikhani, a resident of Mauza Pkiwali was reported to be kidnapped. Relatives told Ali Pur Sadar police that he had gone to a wheat grinding unit but never returned home. Police registered kidnapping case and DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah formed a joint investigation team comprising police and CCD officials.
SP Investigations Asghar Ali Aulakh was assigned to monitor the investigations. The joint team worked hard interviewing people in course of investigations and arrested several suspects. Some of the suspects confessed to have killed Shahid over personal enmity, police spokesman said on Wednesday.
Body of the deceased has been recovered after the accused pointed out the location.
Police were continuing further investigations and DPO has ordered to complete the investigations in a flawless manner to get the accused punished as per law.
