RAWALPINDI, Dec 27 (APP): The great Sufi saint, Sultan-ul-Hind Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri, through his teachings, noble character, and selfless service to humanity, inspired more than nine million Hindus to embrace Islam.
These views were expressed by the Sajjada Nashin of Astana Aalia Tambar Pora Sharif, renowned spiritual leader Pir Syed Inayat Ali Shah Badshah, popularly known as “Motiyaan Wali Sarkar,” while addressing a gathering on the occasion of the annual Urs of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz.
Pir Syed Inayat Ali Shah said that the teachings of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz embody a comprehensive message of love, tolerance, service to humanity, and universal brotherhood, which serve as a guiding light for all mankind in today’s turbulent times. He emphasized that Khawaja Gharib Nawaz spread the message of Islam across the Subcontinent not through force or coercion, but solely through his exemplary character, moral excellence, and devotion to serving humanity, thereby winning millions of hearts.
He further stated that the shrine (Khanqah) of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz continues to be a refuge for the oppressed, the needy, and the suffering, without any distinction of religion or sect, where every visitor is welcomed with love, respect, and a lesson in human compassion. The teachings of the saints, he added, play a vital role in eliminating hatred, prejudice, and sectarianism, guiding society toward mutual respect, tolerance, and harmony.
Addressing the youth, Pir Syed Inayat Ali Shah urged them to adopt the lives and teachings of the Sufi saints and to promote peace, tolerance, and moral values in society through their words and actions. He noted that the Urs of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz teaches the lesson that love for Allah’s creation is the essence of true worship and the key to success in this world and the Hereafter.
