Khairpur Administration Decides to Launch Joint Campaign Against Dengue & Malaria

SUKKUR, Oct 28 (APP):The District Administration Khairpur on Tuesday has decided to launch a joint campaign against dengue and malaria in the district. A crucial meeting was held in this regard at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Khairpur, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Fayaz Hussain Rahujo.
The meeting was attended by District Council Chairman Nadir Shaukat Rajpar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Hussain Jandran, Assistant Commissioners, Malaria Superintendent Maqbool Hussain Hakro, Huma Rizwan, Professor Maqsooda Bhutti, Mona Shah, Dr. Mushtaq Bhunbhro, Dr. Fayaz Hussain Mallah, and other concerned officers.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized that all government departments’ officers will work together to eradicate dengue and malaria from the district, formulating a joint strategy. District Council Chairman Nadir Shaukat Rajpar assured that he would coordinate with the district council members, UC, town, and municipal committees to support the campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Assistant Commissioners of all eight talukas to work closely with the Malaria Control Program’s taluka officers and UC and town committee officers to ensure the success of the spray campaign.
District Council Chairman Nadir Shaukat Rajpar stated that the district council members and other local government officers and representatives would work together to prevent the spread of dengue and malaria.
The meeting requested the Malaria Superintendent to prepare plans at the taluka and UC levels to obtain cooperation from chairmen and secretaries for fumigation.
Malaria Control Program Superintendent Maqbool Hussain Hakro briefed the meeting on the measures taken against dengue, including fumigation, malaria screening, medication, mosquito nets, isolation, and other steps.
