LODHRAN, Dec 07 (APP):Minister of State for Power and Public Affairs Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju paid a visit to the victim family house to express condolences over the death of a minor child after falling into an open manhole yesterday in Dhanot area Lodhran and announced Rs one million financial support from the Punjab government.
He offered Fateha for the departed soul and expressed sorrow and grief with the bereaved family over the tragic incident.
Speaking to the media, the minister said that it was a very sad incident and the everyone is in grief over the tragic incident. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif took strict notice of the incident and ordered to remove the Deputy Commissioner Lodhran.
On this occasion, he announced Rs one million financial support from the Punjab government and education and other support to the victim family. The minister said that Punjab CM had clear stance and strict directions to all administrations about dog biting and sewerage incidents across the province.
He said that every union council and towns were directed to keep 100 spare manhole covers and ensure regular monitoring in their respective areas.
