KARACHI, Jun 17 (APP): The Sindh Governor, Mohammed Kamran Khan Tessori on Monday offered Eid-ul-Azha prayer at the masjid of the Sindh Governor House of Karachi.
The Consul Generals of various Islamic countries, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and notables of the city also joined the Governor in the Eid prayers at the occasion.
The Counsel General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakheet Ateeq al Remeithi, the CG of Turkiye, Cemal Sangu, the CG of Bahrain, Abdulllah Ahmed Buqhous, the CG of Iran, Hasan Nourain, the CG of Malaysia, Herman Hardynata Bin Ahmed, the CG of Qatar, Nayef Shahein R. M. Alsulaiti, the Afghan envoy, S.M. Jabbar, and other diplomats attended the Eid prayers at the governor’s house.
After offering the Eid-ul-Azha prayer, the Governor Tessori, along with the Consuls General, offered the sacrifice of camels, bulls, and goats in the Governor House.
The Governor Tessori, accompanied by envoys of Islamic countries, distributed the meat of the sacrificial animals among the people, while ration bags were also distributed among the deserving people at the occasion.
Kamran Khan Tessori, speaking at the occasion, felicitated the nation on Eid-ul-Azha and stressed extending assistance to deserving and destitute people, particularly on the occasion of Eid.
The Consul General appreciated the initiative of the Sindh Governor and said that taking care of the deserving even during Eid was a commendable act.
