PESHAWAR, Jul 08 (APP):Justice SM Atiq Shah on Tuesday sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court in a formal oath-taking ceremony held here at the Governor House.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, administered the oath to Justice Shah, marking his official appointment to the province’s top judicial position.
The ceremony was attended by prominent political and judicial figures, including Chief Minister KP, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, who joined in extending congratulations to the newly appointed Chief Justice.
Governor Kundi congratulated Justice Shah and expressed his best wishes for his tenure, highlighting the significance of the judiciary in upholding the rule of law and justice.
The oath-taking event was also attended by other dignitaries including federal SAFRON Minister Amir Muqam, Opposition Leader in KP Assembly Dr Ibadullah, provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Ahmed, Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Mehsud, senior judges, heads of administrative departments, lawyers, and various officials.
