DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jul 11 (APP):A joint mock exercise was conducted in Tank under the directives of the provincial government, aimed at strengthening preparedness for potential monsoon-related emergencies.
The exercise was held on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Tank Tanvir Khan and supervised by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning) Muhammad Yousaf.
Personnel from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue 1122, and Civil Defence volunteers actively participated in the drill.
District Emergency Officer Waqas Alam briefed the Additional Deputy Commissioner on various phases of the exercise and Rescue 1122’s operational capabilities through a detailed walk through of the stalls and demonstrations.
The drill featured realistic simulations of emergency scenarios, showcasing modern rescue techniques and providing hands-on training to the participating teams.
The exercise aimed to evaluate field readiness, enhance coordination among departments and ensure a swift, effective response to any water-related incidents during the monsoon season.
