SUKKUR, Jul 08 (APP):In a ceremony held at Government Modern High School Sukkur on Tuesday, Chairman District Council Sukkur Syed Kumail Haider Shah and Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Sheikh distributed joining letters to successful Primary School Teachers (PST) and Junior Elementary School Teachers (JEST) candidates.
A total of 354 appointment orders were handed over to male and female candidates from Sukkur City, New Sukkur, Rohri, and Pano Aqil.
Shah congratulated the successful candidates and emphasized that education has always been the top priority of the Sindh government.
He expressed hope that the new teachers would bring improvement to the education system and provide quality education to students.
Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Sheikh said that the dream of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being fulfilled under the leadership of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He addressed the new teachers, saying that they are not only teachers but also future designers.
Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Dr MB Raja Dharijo highlighted the importance of teachers in providing quality education. He said that the word “Ustad” is a Persian word that means “one who holds great importance.”
Chairman District Council Sukkur Syed Kumail Haider Shah later spoke to the media, saying that the appointment orders distributed today were pending for the past three years. He thanked Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Minister of Education Sardar Shah for their support.
Shah announced that efforts would be made to provide appointment orders to the remaining candidates who had passed the test. He said that over 93,000 appointment orders have been distributed on merit in Sindh. The Chairman District Council also discussed the budget allocation for schools and the improvement plans for the Civil Hospital Sukkur.
