PESHAWAR, Jul 28 (APP):Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a grand jirga to tackle the province’s deteriorating law and order situation, scheduled for July 30 in Peshawar.
JI’s Central Ameer for KP, Abdul Wasih, emphasized that the security crisis affects all residents and requires immediate, collective action. “The government and institutions must unite to restore peace in the province,” Wasih stated while talking to media.
The jirga will bring together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Peshawar Bar Council, political parties and security institutions.
He extended invitations to both provincial and federal governments, urging them to set aside differences and collaborate for peace.
The gathering aims to develop a comprehensive action plan through consensus, which will be formally announced by JI’s Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman.
