Japan-based Kashmiri diaspora community to observe “Exploitation Day” on August, 5

MIRPUR (AJK), Aug 02 (APP): Japan-based Kashmiri Diaspora community will observe ” Exploitation Day” on August, 5 to apprise the world of their protest against the forced and unlawful Indian action of abrogation of special status of the internationally-acknowledged disputed Jammu and Kashmir state, which New Delhi had exercised five years ago in 2019.

This was announced by the Tokayo-based Kashmiri Diaspora community Leader and Jammu Kashmir Solidarity Forum Chairman, Shahid Majeed Sheikh Advocate, said a statement received here on Friday.

Elaborating the protest programme, he said that in Tokyo Kashmiri Diaspora community would present a memorandum comprising their demands, to the United Nations office besides staging protest demonstrations in front of the Indian diplomatic missions with the cooperation of religious, political and social figures of Japan.

“August 5 as Kashmir Black Day should be observed by each Kashmiri worldwide against the abrogation of the special status of Occupied Jammu Kashmir state and the oppression of the Indian occupying forces unleashed against the people of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir state for the last 77 years”, he appealed.

Shahid called upon the Kashmiri and Pakistani community living all over the world to observe August 5 as the ‘Exploitation Day” wherever they lived in across the globe by holding protest demonstrations to apprise the world that India was aggressor in IIOJK.

He said that the curfew-like restrictions had been imposed upon the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and fundamental human rights had been suspended.

The Indian government had put more Hurriyat leaders in illegal detentions, which was the blatant insult of the humanity, he added.

Shahid Majeed urged the human rights organizations and international media around the world to support the Kashmiri people against the Indian atrocities in IIOJK.

He highlighted said that India was making innocent Kashmiris especially youth the target of its state terrorism in IIOJK and all kinds of restrictions had been imposed the occupied valley.

He announced that Kashmiris settled in Japan would continue raising protests on every relevant forum against the Indian government-sponsored state terrorism in the occupied Kashmir till India restore the statehood of the IIOJK and move for early settlement of the Kashmir issue.
